Meet Our Team of Salon Professionals

At Mitsu Sato Salon Professionals, our mission is to deliver artistic form through cutting edge hairstyles and beauty services. Founded by former Director of Vidal Sassoon Mitsu Sato in 1994, the salon continues to evolve and find unique ways to serve the beauty needs of Overland Park, Kansas. Well-known and respected in the hair industry, Mitsu Sato has been perfecting his craft for 35 years. Originally from Kyoto, Japan, he came to the U.S. to study fashion photography and cosmetology, so he could both style hair and photograph models. After serving as the director for Vidal Sassoon in Beverly Hills, CA, Sato opened his own salon on trendy Melrose Avenue for celebrity clientele such as Sally Field, Carrie Fisher, Don Henley, and Julia-Louis Dreyfus.  At Mitsu Sato Salon Professionals, Mr. Sato shares his experience and creativity with future generations through his salon.

Roseanna Pollina Garrett

With over 30+ years in the beauty industry, I am still passionate and inspired. After I graduated from The Vidal Sassoon Academy in LA, I worked for Sebastian as an educator and platform artist. I then went to work for Wella Hair Color company, where I worked for 16yrs as an educator and platform
artist teaching color, color techniques, and cutting to other professionals. I have spent my many years in the industry also specializing in mens cutting. Currently I am the Educational Director of Mitsu Sato Hair Academy, as well as Director and Certified Mud Designory Instructor of our makeup school program. Being the co-owner of Mitsu Sato Salon Professionals has allowed me to focus my attention on my clients, to give them the best version of themselves. Being able to do hair and makeup for them, along with models for photo shoots, and brides on their special day brings me a sense of pride.

Alyssa Ronnebaum

 After graduating from Mitsu Sato Hair Academy where I completed the Sassoon ABC’s of cut & color, I am no the Personal Assistant to Mitsu Sato and Roseanna Pollina. I’m actively furthering my education with one-on-one training, as well as pursuing my passion for becoming a true Color Artist.

Kimberly Compton

I am currently the Cosmetology Instructor and a Color Educator at Mitsu Sato Hair Academy. I am also a stylist for Mitsu Sato Salon Professionals. As an alumni of Mitsu’s Hair Academy, I’ve spent the past nine years behind the chair, doing what I love. I enjoy the artistic design and creative process of hair color and cutting.
